Chief Joseph Elementary School is in the Portland Public Schools district in Portland, Oregon. Our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) supports the education of students by fostering relationships among the parents, teachers, principal, staff, and community through shared values of inclusion, community, and equity. This is done through community building, volunteering, holding events and meetings, supporting educational and enrichment programs, and fundraising to meet those needs. We became a PTO in the fall of 2016 in order to be more open and inclusive to our community. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization: IRS EIN 81-3894006.
